Game Gazette - TENCHU 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins takes place before the events of the original TENCHU. Rikimaru and Ayame passed their final tests and have become full-fledged ninjas. Now a rival gang of ninjas is looking to take over the land and rule it. It is up to Rikimaru, Ayame, and their friend Tetsumaru to stop this.
You must guide the characters through 29 missions that will reveal every aspect of the plot. As with the original, the goal is to assassinate the enemies without being detected. Each of the characters carries a default blade and a grappling hook. For each of the missions a variety of tools are available to use like colored rice, poisoned rice, flaming arrows, mines, and healing potions. After beating the game, you can build your own unique missions with the Mission Editor. Stealth not brute force is the key to mastering TENCHU 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins.
